General specs- The Canon ImageClass D660 Copier Printer uses Canon ImageClass D660 printer cartridge and employs mono, laser, digital technology to produce the fine quality prints it does. Weighing a little heavy at 53 pounds, the device remains rather compact for a multi function device with 17.5×24.5×15 inch dimensions. Paper handling- Paper handling is very efficient, not to mention fast via the 500 sheet front cassette and 100 sheet multi-tray. All popular paper types are accepted by the device including plain, colour, bond, transparencies, labels and envelopes. Letter and legal are unfortunately the only compatible paper sizes accepted. The machine boasts with a rather large media cap of 600 sheets. Warm-up time is short, not even worth a mention at 1second. First copy or print out is at an impressive 13 seconds

Print Quality- Overall print quality is great. Text is clear and crisp, with no smudges, blemishes or jagged outlines in sight. No matter what the font size, quality remains impeccable. Photo and graphics quality is a couple of notches above what you may expect, on the verge of excellent. However it's a fact that most consumers would rather invest in a colour instead of monochrome printer. Print resolutions can either be 600×600 or 2400×600 dpi, depending on the print quality preferred. Always use Canon Toner with this product.

Advantages- A huge disadvantage to this multi-purpose copier printer is paper jamming. Time is wasted on unjamming and restarting print jobs every time a jam rears it's ugly head. This problem has a very negative affect on reliability of the device. If the printing environment is pressed for time or the print quantity is substantial rather avoid investing in the device as it can potentially drive you crazy chop-chop.

Features- The machine boasts with some dashing features including excellent quality prints due to Canon's Advanced Printing Technology, super quick copies at a rate of 13 ppm for letter size and 10 ppm legal, zoom capacity between 50% and 200% with different increments, 30 sheet automated document feeding, maintenance-free performance due to Canon's single cartridge system and last but not least memory collation.

Interfacing options- Parallel and USB interfacing options come standard with your purchase, making the device suitable for both dated and outdated computers. Linux and Apple operating systems are unfortunately incompatible with the device. Even though Windows is the only compatible OS, Vista version may encounter some configuration problems. USB cable is not included with the copier printer.

This is the proper printer toner cartridge for this product. Of course a lower % cover will yield a larger print capacity. The device comes with excellent Single Cartridge System that contains toner, development unit and drum that requires only one replacement cartridge. Cartridges retails for approximately US$160.00.
